Research Use Only Policy for Research Peptides in Australia
Every product sold by Macropus Peptides is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. This policy sets out what that means, what we expect from buyers, and where we draw the line. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
In-vitro research only
Our peptides and supplies are intended for use in controlled laboratory settings, such as cell culture, assay development, analytical work and other in-vitro studies. They are not for use in humans or animals under any circumstances.
- Not for human consumption, injection, inhalation or topical use.
- Not for veterinary use or use in any animal.
- Not for use as a food, supplement or cosmetic ingredient.
Not medicines and not registered on the ARTG
Our products are not medicines. They are not included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and have not been evaluated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for safety, quality or efficacy in people. No information on this website is a therapeutic claim, and none of it is medical advice.
References on product pages to research areas describe the kinds of studies a compound appears in. They are not claims that the product treats, prevents or cures any condition.
TGA scheduling and your responsibility
Scheduling of substances in Australia is set by the TGA through the Poisons Standard, and each state and territory controls how scheduled substances may be bought, held and used within its borders. The status of a compound can change when the Poisons Standard is amended.
Before ordering, you are responsible for confirming the current regulatory status of each product for your organisation and your state or territory, including whether any licence, permit or institutional approval is required. If you are unsure, check with your institution's compliance officer or the relevant state or territory health department before you buy.
What every buyer confirms
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are a qualified researcher, or are buying on behalf of an organisation with a genuine in-vitro research purpose;
- the products will be handled, stored and disposed of safely by people trained to do so;
- the products will not be administered to any person or animal; and
- you will not resell or supply the products to anyone who intends to use them that way.
We do not give dosing advice
We do not provide dosing, administration, reconstitution for injection, cycling or any other advice about use in people or animals. Our team will not answer these questions, whether by email, phone or social media. We can help with order status, product labelling, storage conditions shown on the label, and certificates of analysis for a lot.
When we refuse or cancel orders
We may refuse, hold or cancel an order at any time before dispatch if:
- a buyer asks for dosing or human use information;
- an order, message or account details suggest intended human or veterinary use;
- we cannot verify age, identity or research purpose; or
- we believe the supply would breach Australian law.
Where we cancel a paid order, we refund the amount paid. We may also close accounts linked to repeated breaches of this policy.
